Swiss Air Force has cancelled already the very popular Axalp Airshows for 2024 and 2025.
It's not like Swiss Armed Forces have an very restricted budget, but it looks that political and military leaders made multiple commands on new gear without looking on the financial part. Different commands have now to be paid in multiple parts and 2-3 years later than expected.
The Swiss Super Puma Display Team will also begin the training week soon and will be present on some shows if #COVID19 will end. Stay safe and wear masks !
Finally, with nearly every Airshow cancelled due COVID19 the Patrouille Suisse expects to train the following dates. And yes, I'm not really shure how Axalp Shuttle Service will be organised - so be aware that this year can be very complicated.
Schedule update: training course is now planned 10-14th of august. Of course this will also depend on the measures about the COVID-19 🦠 , but we still hope to fly a few times this year
Every year in October, the Swiss Air Force invites the world to the Power Demo showed up there. No more rockets and bombs since the end of Vampire and Hunter, but still impressive.
Unfortunally it was the last year with the grey Tiger F-5's - the're only used for the agressor role and Patrouille Suisse in the future, but not needed to shoot there bullets anymore.
Our Air Force is very kind to us military aviation lovers again and published some interesting schedules.
Main change is the opened QRA-schedule, now all days from 0600-2200h LT two armed Hornets are on 15mins Alert.

Main events will be the Air Policy CAP's for the World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos, the evaluation of the new fighter jets in summer and the week long visit of the French Air Force (Armée de l'Air, AdlA) end of August.
MEIRINGEN LSMP
A lot of Tiger activity throughout the year, but mostly only two aircrafts. PC-21 training out of Meiringen in spring and a very surprising event not yet ready for publication. The fighter aircrafts in evaluation for the NKF out of Payerne are also visiting Meiringen due there stay in Switzerland. Main events are the Patrouille Suisse training week, the Hornet flights in August and some cargo aircrafts for Air Force (US Navy Herc's 'stealing' our F-5 Tiger aircrafts) and the RUAG, mainly Antonov AN-124.

On monday were both new routines (Full Show and Flat Show). Looks nice 😁 This morning the routine has been trained at high altitude, but the weather was too bad in the afternoon and the afternoon high altitude training has been cancelled. So the whole training course programm take place 1/2 day later. Tomorrow Wednesday : Morning High altitude training in the Jura above FL100 Afternoon 13h45-14h15 medium altitude training above Payerne Airbase. Low altitude training will start Thursday afternoon 13h45 over Payerne Airbase See you soon Vincent
