Swiss Socialist Party supports European Fighter Aircraft for the Swiss Air Force

The Social Democratic Party of Switzerland (also rendered as Swiss Socialist Party; German: Sozialdemokratische Partei der Schweiz, SP; French: Parti socialiste suisse, PS; Italian: Partito Socialista Svizzero; Romansh: Partida Socialdemocrata de la Svizra) not ruling out to support new Fighters for Switzerland !

Some rules for the support are (Source):

• not 9 Mrd Swiss Francs as Swiss Federal Council of the Defence Departement Guy Parmelin wants, but a cost-efficient solution
• not up to 40 new Fighters, but enough (20-30) to secure the airspace
• the aircraft has to be an european one, meaning Saab Gripen, Dassault Rafale or Airbus Typhoon (Eurofighter)
• the swiss citizens have the right to vote for or against them

The Social Democratic Party of Switzerland is the only left-wing party with representatives in the Swiss Federal Council. It is also the second largest political party in the Swiss parliament.
